P-Comp Serial Communication Labs

Overall, in the first lab I had no difficulty at all. I worked with the p5.serialcontrol on my recent PComp project, the foot pedal project, so I was familiar with all of the steps connecting the two programs — it was really just an easy plug-and-chug tutorial for me.

On the other hand, the second lab that focused on connecting Arduino from p5 (rather than p5 from Arduino) I found to be challenging. I followed the tutorial step-for-step and couldn’t figure out how to get this to work. I think I got lost in the different steps of the tutorial and having to replace certain functions after they’d already been written with other functions. I tried to look at everything as a whole in the code but the Github link was broken. I hope my confusion can be solved by looking at other blogs and/or figuring it out in class.
