Physical-Virtual Project Research

I really like how this project connects the virtual and physical worlds together, even though it isn’t the most exceptional way. To summarize the project, the creators made an app that allows users to type in any message, and that message then gets sent to the Arduino, where it outputs that message on a string of LED screens. Pretty cool! The creators did a really nice, super in-depth documentation of this project, and seeing how the multiple LED screens fit together on the Arduino was super fascinating. One idea I had to make this project come more to life, making the gap between physical and virtual world, would be to incorporate some kind of keyboard that users can step up and use. The app via the phone is a great idea, because it’s allowing communication in a way you wouldn’t think would take place, and the messages could be anonymous (which might be good depending on the project vibes/message vibes), but I think it would be interesting to incorporate an older feeling keyboard that feels super old and physical, only to be sent to the bright red screens for all to see.
